Talking Burnt Finger BBQ

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum, so I just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. My name is Jason Day and I cook on the team Burnt Finger BBQ from Kansas City. We're a relatively new team with only two competitions under our belt. We cooked in the Royal Open last weekend and ended up walking away with a 5th place ribbon in brisket and a 38th finish overall. Not too shabby for bunch of amateurs, eh? Needless to say we're totally hooked, so hopefully you'll be seeing much more of us on the competition circuit in the years to come. As a season finale, we're going to be cooking in the Fountains Blaze Off in Independence, MO in a couple weeks. If anyone else is cooking there, it would be great to meet up and chat over a cold one. The people we've met in the few competitions we've been in have been fantastic, and we can't wait to branch out and meet more.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome!!! We've had quite the outpouring of support over our logo since we unveiled it at the Royal.

Hopefully you weren't looking too closely to see us all shaking from shock and excitement!!! :)
