I just threw on my first fatty while the pork butts continue to smoke

at 225-250 what kind of time line am I looking at? I go to 165 internal temp correct??

I know it is not an exact science I am just looking for a rough bullpark

Ahhh the memories. I remember my first fatty. was about dozen or so absolut mandarin drinks in me when i glanced down the end of the bar and there she was. she gave a nice little smile and a wink. I then walked over to her ....oops are we not talking about the same thing? Sorry

I have read this mentioned before... what does this mean?

Three hours on the smoker (I run about 220). Two hours foiled with apple juice and back on the smoker. One hour in a cooler with some warm towels.

I know it sounds crazy to do a fatty that long, but once I tried it that is the way I always do them.

Hate to admit it... first, second, and third didn't do so well for me.
First got dried out... second fell apart... third was over-seasoned.
Oddly no smoke ring... and yes... was on the smoker! :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:


Saw some big 32 oz. JD @ BJ's... hmmmm
Maybe smoke it on the rack above the brisket tomorrow.
