Our New November SPECIAL Throwdown Category is...




"Soups, Stews, & Chili!"





This was DrewZ's entry in the 2019 "Soups, Stews, & Chili" Throwdown




CATEGORY DESCRIPTION - PLEASE READ:


  • You must cook a soup, stew, or chili. The soup, stew, or chili can be either cooked in a grill, smoker, or other such device, OR, it must feature the prominent use of grilled and/or smoked ingredients.
  • Your entry may feature the soup, stew, or chili as a standalone dish, or the MAIN ingredient in another dish.
  • Standard Throwdown rules apply.
  • Multiple entries are both allowed, and encouraged in this TD only.


You may submit entries that are cooked from Friday 10/30 through Monday 11/30.

Entry pictures must be submitted by Noon Central US Time on Monday 11/30.

This is good timing, as I just did a chili a couple days ago.

I do soups this time of year and other than browning some beef on the grill I can't think of anything smoked or grilled that would go into them. Hmm..

Would Mussels Marinieres be considered a soup or stew? Or would they be considered yet another Dilly Bar?

Definition of dilly

One that is remarkable or outstanding

had a dilly of a storm

for a practical joke, that was a real dilly
