So I've been wanting to try my first throwdown for years and never seem to get it done. I seen the sirloin throwdown and I saw that my local grocery store had top sirloin on sale. Off I go! They had big plate sized top sirloins out and I don't care for them. Then I seen they had top sirloin cap for even cheaper. So I go.....cap has to be better than the actual cut, right? So I got some of those and came home and researched it a bit on the interweb. Come to find this is the picanha cut that I keep hearing about from the Brethren. Awesome. So apparently this is Brazilian so I decided to treat the Missus to something different. We're having Brazilian BBQ tonite! She's not impressed. So here we go.
We're gonna do a picanha with grilled polenta and a tomato salad.
Seasoned with salt and lemon pepper and a sofrito paste, and polenta with a basil paste.
On the grill.
Done!
Dinner.
