I had to work today, but since we are taken our son to university tomorrow, I decided to do a pork shoulder for a farewell dinner and let my bride supervise the UDS.

Up at 6:16 am, cooking by 6:50. UDS ran well all day with one ball valve wide open on a load of lump with 4 cherry chunks. Regular status reports from Mrs. Probed tender at 200F. Finished with some additional rub and some Stubbs spicy sauce.

Nice cook. Just don't show her how to start the fire or you might be riding the bench.:heh:

BBQ'in is supposed to be a difficult, daunting task. If you teach your spouse that they can easily accomplish it, you lose brownie points, and they will make you do other chores to make up for the fact that you are not as great as you try to appear.
