Doing my first ever try at beef ribs. I found a decent slab of center cut back ribs to cook. I took everyones advice and went simple with just a health coat of kosher salt, fresh black pepper, and a light dusting of garlic. Put them on the Akorn at 270-275. Here are a couple shots of the ribs and seasoned up for the pit.

more pics to follow.

You'll love the Akorn, plus its a KILLER pizza oven. Are those beef ribs from Wally World? I've never had much luck wit them myself. By the time I cooked em down to tender there wasn't much meat really. Mostly fat shiners. Hope yours come out better!

Did beef shorties on the Akorn yesterday worked perfectly. You're in for a treat. I agree salt pepper and garlic is the way to go.

Yes they are Wally World, I figured they were pretty decent from looking through all they had. I didn't want to spend alot for my first try just in case I bombed them bad.

Just finished them up. I really liked the flavor, but the quality of the ribs were pretty poor. I guess I expected that from Wally world ribs. Pretty bad shiners once the meat shrunk up so much. Now that I know we like them I will try to locate a local butcher or place to get good quality ribs.

well most beef ribs are mostly bone, hardly any meat. But the meat that is there is pretty awesome

thats why they are called dino bones

thats been my experience anyway

I have better luck with short ribs as far as meat goes

yours look about typical.

thanks
