The wife has a friend who had a peach tree in her yard that had died. I asked her, if I come cut it down, can I have the wood? She was very happy about that deal, as was I. So I called another friend of mine who has a chain saw and asked him If I could borrow it and he could come for lunch. He agreed. Yesterday morn I had fire going and got a 7# pork butt into the smoke a little before 6AM. I mixed SM sweet and spicy with SM cherry and some of my homemade rub and cooked over hickory and cherry wood. Everyone enjoyed lunch and I got some free wood. I didn't get a plate shot, but here's some pork shots and one of the peach wood in my truck.
