I need help, my son's 1st birthday party is next sunday. My NW brethren, where on earth can I find nice bone in pork butt's for a good price...Cash and carry has boneless for 1.99 a pound which I might go ahead and buy (seems like a great price).

My non NW Brethren, should I throw caution to the wind and cook boneless (I never have),I'm cooking for 30 people. It kills me to see all of these awesome butts, why can't I find any..What say you?

I prefer bone-in, but I have used boneless at times. Just be sure to roll and tie the but to achieve best results. If you have access to netting this makes easy work. Netting is available at most sausage and butcher supply stores.

Great idea to tie or net the butt. Never done thet.

If you have to cook boneless just go till probe tender.
There really isn't any difference in them except the bone.

Best of luck and I know you'll do fine
