It works fine. It's kinda slow, but I don't grind that often, so it suits my needs for sausage making. Don't bother with the stuffing attachment. Spend the extra money on a dedicated stuffer like an LEM or a grizzly.
Just wondering if anyone has any advice on what meat grinder attachment to get for the Kitchen Aid? Or is it better to just buy a separate meat grinder?
My experience with my Kitchen Aid is the the meat has to be half way frozen otherwise it will just gum up. If the meat is of the half frozen state, it works pretty well for small batches.
Separate grinder. Will make your life way easier.
It's absolutely better to buy a separate one. Like a LEM #5 or the equivalent Cabela.
For me, the kitchenaid meat grinder attachment has been nothing but a nightmare. Dull blade, small, wobbly, plastic and takes about 10 times longer to process the same amount of meat.
