Tri Tip on the UDS With PRON

Hey guys, first post with cook pictures, hope y'all enjoy.....

Rubbed it down with butter infused extra virgin olive oil and then coated with Montreal steak seasoning then onto the UDS....

Came off and rested for about 45 minutes

Never did a tri tip yet. looks great. I will have to put this on my list. Thanks for the pics.
 
Perfect!! Did you carve it correctly? Hard to tell from the pic...carving is the MOST important part of the tri .

I believe I did, found what direction the grain was running and cut against it... Are there any additional tips or tricks? Have only done a handful of Tri tips in my day
 
Looks beautiful. I cook those all the time. A family favorite, especially over my Santa Maria pit. Yours looks great and sliced properly. The grain is pretty easy to see even on a cooked tri-tip but it does shift direction so you kinda have to pay attention.
