BBQ in Dallas for a group

Saw the post below about Dallas TX bbq which was great info....I will be in Dallas for work with a large group of colleagues...think 20 people. Is there a decent BBQ place to take a large group for an evening dinner? Staying at the Omni Dallas Hotel.

You might try calling Slow Bone. They might be willing to stay open for 20 people. It's also close to downtown.

Mike Anderson's does private party reservations from 3-9. They are in the city. There is a place in Lake Dallas (a bit north on 35E) called Chasin' Tail that has a private room. Hard Eight in Coppell has a private room and late hours (and pretty damn good Q). They are probably your best bet IMO.

We ended up bailing on the larger group dinner. Instead five of us were able to grab lunch at Lockhart Smokehouse. Quite a treat for us northerners as it was less than 10 min from where we were staying. We split the brisket between the moist and lean. Had Kreutz sausage. Pinto beans, cole slaw, Habanero Mac & Cheese as sides. Great lunch!
