They have a pretty good name down here amongst the Gasser users,
I met a sales rep a while back and they are struggling with all the cheap stuff coming in from over to the left and up a bit

They are good quality & well built. I've got a 2nd hand hooded gasser I bought off a workmate. Don't use it much (prefer the weber) but its good for days when we have fire bans (like all last week with the devastating bushfires around Sydney's outskirts).
Unlike the cheap imports, it starts easily, heats evenly, is nice & steady on its trolley. I'd say less than 1 in 10 gasses would be a beefeater around here. I think its an uphill battle for them to sell the things - One because there's been a surge in popularity for smaller gasses like the weber Q, and secondly, the big box hardware stores sell cheap imports for 1/4 the price of a beefeater, and the uneducated don't really car if they have to replace it in 3 years time. |
