Well this weekend I finally got a chance to take the next step with the Weber Kettle I picked up earlier this year. Threw some babybacks on, smoked for about 3 hours and learned a great deal (I need a better thermometer and more setup needs to be revised to get more even heat over time), but it was good enough for the wife and kids to encourage me to try again.

Looks good to me!! It's crazy what all can be done with kettles!

Wow. Thanks. I figured I'd get a couple of "not bad"s. Looks like I'm on the right track.
 
Looks Good for a first attempt. I think a first attempt at a brisket sounds good.

Dang so many rib pron from the weekend. Now got me thinking of ribs for the weekend and its only Monday. :doh:
