After working in the yard yesterday, I decided it was too hot to get involved in a big, long cook. I had a large chuck roast; but I didn't want to cook the whole roast. I took a cross cut section from the roast and cooked it like a chuck steak...hot and fast on the WGA. I also threw together a salad, of sorts, from avocado and tomato. It turned out great. It was so good that I'm going to do a repeat of the meal tonight.
It turned out just as tender as chuck eye steaks I have previously done. I suspect that if it were cooked past medium rare the tenderness might be different. As the picture shows, I didn't have that problem.
