I have had my FoodSaver for a number of years, but this was a new use for me today!

The recipe had me mix up a mixture to pour over and coat chicken pieces. So I made a over sized bag, filled it with chicken pieces and the mixture. Sealed the other end(No vacuum).

Now I have a sealed contained in which to shake, roll, mix, until all was coated well.

Good idea :thumb: Although, usually I just use gallon ziplock bags and they stay sealed unless I do something really dumb. Still though, if you have a good supply of cheap bags, this would be a good option. Out of curiosity, what sealer do you have and how did you seal the bag without it leaking? I am assuming you held the sealer in the air and sealed the bag upright?

I use the bags for marinating meats over night, with no leakage and easy clean-up.

Set the bag on the counter in front of the unit, fold top over to reach unit. V2440 is my unit.
