My First comp last weekend- Alaska State Championship with Pron

Competed in my first BBQ competition last weekend, Alaska state championship which fellow Brethren bearnakedbbq took Grand. My team consisted of me and 2 of my kids. We all had fun and learned alot definitely going to do some changes to area setup for next comp, still waiting on comment cards (supposed to be emailed out) to see what area to improve on. We place 6th overall out of 20 teams and 4th in pork so I'm really happy with the results and whole experience.

Thanks!! yea kids did really good and had a blast. There already asking whens next one. Michael does some fine work!

i'd suggest a bit more research on box pics both here, bbq critic, and pickled pig. some great ideas out there to improve.

Yea after I posted pic and had time to look at them I was like crap I should have spent time researching and defiantly could have done better. Thanks for the sites to look at!! I will be looking that's for sure.
