BBQ, but not really BBQ (Fried Pickles)

Certainly not BBQ, but a great appetizer or side for BBQ is fried pickles. Never have tried them at home. Does anyone know what coating is the best for these things? I'm thinking just a season cornmeal mix?

try "House of Autry" chicken breader. Thats how we fry em down here. Dont care for cornmeal batter. Zaxbys does theirs in cornmeal and its not near as good.

you could go with a seasoned panko too...

I normally would use Dixie Fry or seasoned flour for this kind of frying.

Seasoned flour is the way to go.

Dredge them though buttermilk first, and make sure your oil is at least 375F
