New rig.... long story with pics.
Grab a beverage... might be a long winded one.
Been trying to design graphics for the trailer, and after several disappointments, wild goose chases, vinyl screw-ups... ultimately wound up with a new rig. The original trailer saw the first piece of vinyl... The bottom line... the layout was approved, however the execution was lousy. The left panel wasn't located between the hinges... which threw off the phrases on the right panel. Note the lettering over the hinge plates !? Decided not to allow them to fix the mistakes... since their execution was less than desirable the first time. Decided to look for a different company... who saw the previous efforts... and was dumbfounded why it was done that way. Then it was decided to retire that trailer... the barn doors have served its purpose. So that graphics idea went on the back burner until a better option was found. Saw too many bad trailers on Craigslist... and drove to and from empty handed; Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland. Finally found one that was relatively in decent shape and price in Virginia. A 2007 Pace 8.5 X 20 car hauler; Torflex axles, two rows of e-tracks, 2 roof vents, and a 4,500 lb capacity rear ramp. Oh boy! Then it was the interior layout/redesign of the trailer still under development.... currently 90% done. Then resuming the graphics to be reconsidered with new options with the rear door. Then the truck I was using was starting to have its own personal issues... beginning to complain, making unusual sounds and ugly noises pulling the trailer... which was under its own design specs. Looked like it was time to trade in that set of problems, too. Therefore, here's the results of too many headaches and breaking the piggy bank. 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic 2500 HD (LBZ Diesel with 60,000 miles/Allison 1000 6 speed) CarFAX (Texas for 5 years) - super clean. Never saw a snow flake yet. Looks like the name stuck; The Piggy Bank .

Nice! Really love that you are promoting Operation BBQ Relief. Hopefully more of our Brethren will look into joining us supporting OBR. It really builds bonds of brotherhood when you cook side-by-side helping those in need.

very nice Bob, that looks like a sweet setup. And with all the driving you do, a good rig to travel with.

Saw it first hand cooking with OBR for the flood victims in PA last fall. A Brethren Brother (Roger/The Pigman) is involved at this moment with the Ohio tornadoes on site cooking for the first responders. Will be joining forces with Roger and several other Brethren brothers in May supporting another community outreach in Dayton, Ohio. http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=122957

Nice, all the way around! And just when I thought my yearning for a new trailer was about to subside. Darn you!

I joined OBR in Joplin for the very first response, had no idea what I was getting into. Pulled out of there an emotional wreck - the stories I heard, the bonds built, and the people we helped. It was life changing for me. Everyone who was on site are now brothers and sisters - when we meet at contests, there is a special bond and usually a tear shed remembering those we helped in the short time we spent together. This past weekend I was honored to lead the OBR team responding to the Harveyville, Kansas tornado, while the response was smaller due to the size of the community, we met the needs of the community and the relief workers just as in Joplin. And to think this was one of four communities OBR touched in the last week, the response was truly remarkable - thinking about all the people that were comforted and fed over the last year is just overwhelming. OBR will continue to grow as will the brotherhood of those who respond, donate, or support their efforts.
