:clap2: Hey--just recieved my first PURPLE Thermapen !Gonna heasd to walmart ( we don't have meat shops in this town ) , to buy something to use it with. How stupid can a guy get? Spend money to test a meat thermo. Oh well!:heh:

Too bad they ran out of the red ones, but purple is close.
 
I'll hijack this thread if you don't mind. I'm going to get a Thermapen, but I was wondering to they only sell them online or can they be picked up at certain stores in the US? I'll be in Florida, Georgia and Louisiana at the end of March and was wondering if I can pick it up versus paying for shipping to Canada.
 
Probably a butt. Brisket and I have a POOR track record. I've not had good luck even in the oven. A chuckie scares me more than brisky.:icon_blush: My mom has done brisket in the oven that could be gummed. She's 91 , and adds insult to injury when she asks " what's the problem ? " , The old goat can still cook-up anything , and it's good. My grandmother could to , even though 86 .In the day , that is.!:mad:
