Default apple filling calzone question

If I stuff a pizza dough calzone with apple pie filling,
should I sweeten the outside?
sugar?
after cooking?

Sugar and cinnamon just like an apple pie top sounds good to me.

I've got no idea, but I'd try it with some sugar on the outside. I, and most others, do that with fruit pies and it's always better than it is without the sugar.

I did some a while back, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar....not too pretty, but yummy

Used apple, cherry, and pineapple pie filling.

Take an egg white and whisk it until its sorta foamy. Brush it on the outside of the dough and then sprinkle some sugar on it before cooking it.

^^^ditto^^^You can also mix some cinnamon and a little unsalted butter with the egg whites.

I would brush with light amount of butter immeadiately after cooking and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon if you like it. Butter works really well to get it to stick
