Was in Home Depot today a saw a 26" kettle built by Masterbuilt. Priced right at $89.00. Kind of neat, used the ash catcher to put newspaper in to start the charcoal. Wondering if any Brethren had one and what they thought.

One of my coworkers has one of these with the Kingsford branding on it. In my opinion, its an excellent deal. I have not cooked on it myself, but I have been around while he's cooking on it. My initial observations of it are good. If I wanted a 26" kettle I'd definitely consider one for the price. It's not quite as heavy-duty as the Weber equivalent but it is porcelain coated. My friend keeps his in his garage and it still looks great after about 2 years of regular use...

I have one and hate it. For grilling it is ok, forget trying to cook indirect. Thin metal, ill fitting parts and cheap/crappy dampers make it hard to control temps (too hot). Buy a weber kettle you will be much better off.
