Default WSM Mod on UDS

Don't panic its only a test.

I want to see if taking the fat dripping in the fire out of play will extend the burn time.

Besides, I am already using every internal part of my wsm in my uds anyway, so I might as well add the heat sink.

How long of a burn can u get without the heat sink?

Any mod that keeps fat from dripping on the fire is a step in the wrong direction IMO.

I take it you have a small drum if the WSM stuff fits, 30gal?

Post your results.

I agree. The grease drippin down in the coals adds to the flavor. I have gotten 13+ hours on 10# of lump before.

It burns plenty long without the heat sink. I agree that the fat dripping in the fire adds something. I am going to do a couple of chickens to see how the uds acts with heat sink in the middle.

I will post up the results.
