Ed's hot tub - that would be the bath tub where ever he is staying to soak his tired and
aching feet ! A bunch of us may be doing the same thing. OK - heard back about parking: Refer to the Chiefs site map with overview of the whole parking scheme from my post above. Team parking will be in Lot A - directly east of Kaufman Stadium Public parking : Since team spaces will be Lots C D F and G and team parking is Lot A And judges, volunteers, and staff will be in Lot E - public parking will be spread out over all of the rest of the lots not mentioned above. Oh, and I got it backwards about which side is which for teams - just look at your site assignment. It indicates the which lot you are in. If all else fails, see the site maps on the Royal site. So anyway- Gates will likely be gate 1 and 7 but not decided for sure. Just look at your site assignment and the map and pick the gate that is closest for you. Hey, Ed, thanks for your input. We will have to have a good visit ! Hope this helps.

Go to the main AR page and then the BBQ page and then look at the Kim Palmer link. There is a good map and tells what gates for teams to enter 1 and 7

Somebody please tell me that judging is on the ground level. My vague remembrance of the tower club is that its on the second level. ?????

I talked with my contact with the Royal committee again.
His answers about turn in and judging: There will be 2 turn in locations. One on each corner of the stadium closest to the parking lots your team site is located. See the site map with 2 turn in spots indicated. Each spot is one half turn up the spiral to the next level. It is a ramp, not stairs. Judging will be on the second level but judges will have access to escalators and elevators. Hope this helps.

You have a very fast three wheeled scooter! It'll take those ramps no problem

Anything over 100ft and I won’t be carrying the box. Its in the Purgatory by laws. :-)
My concern was the trip up the ramp.

The solution there is don't trip !
That would be Purgatory. Or worse. It is a ramp after all. No stairs. And think how easy it will be coming down the ramp after turn in.

Question about parsley
I am planning on getting a case of parsley to use for both contests. What is the best way to pack all of that to keep it fresh until the contests? I plan to leave Wednesday afternoon. Do I chance getting a case of parsley at RD in KC? Im assuming alot of people will be buying theirs there as well.

I put mine in a cooler, stalk side down with an inch or two of water and some ice. I then sprinkle ice on top of the parsley. I add ice as it melts.

Ok, so the teams walk the boxes up the ramp. That is better than someone walking a tray up or hauling on a cart. Good Good

Parking passes
I know this is a long shot, but would anyone have 2 extra contestant parking passes? Apparently I made a rookie mistake and forgot to order 2 extra. I would pay for them if the price is right.
