Why risk it? There are lots of other oils to use instead. Keith

I had a dear friend who lost her son a few months ago due to a peanut allergy. It's VERY real.
I have a large Lang and have considered this in the past, and for this reason alone I have not seasoned mine with peanut oil. I use Lard.

From foodallergy.org...
"The FDA exempts highly refined peanut oil from being labeled as an allergen. Studies show that most individuals with peanut allergy can safely eat peanut oil (but not cold-pressed, expelled or extruded peanut oil – sometimes represented as gourmet oils). If you are allergic to peanuts, ask your doctor whether or not you should avoid peanut oil." Not worth taking the chance in my book.
