20% off in my area, so $7.98 for 40 pounds that's a good deal.

Ember's is a Royal Oak product, anyone know if it's the same as the red bag classic coal?

Yes, the RO red/white $8.88 for 2 #18 bags at wally.
I have bought/used both. Seems to be identical briquettes. Which ever is cheaper for the same product.

In about two weeks I will be switching routes for my job at Frito Lay and the new one will have a Walmart on it. I will be more than happy to "capitalize" on any clearance items I find and pass these savings onto the brethren.

Thanks! I got in on the Lowes deal a couple months back for the red bag classic and I really like cooking with it I'll stock up on this ember's deal.

Appreciate the heads up!

If you missed out on the first round of clearance on the Pit Boss Copperhead 5 vertical pellet smokers for $109 at Walmart earlier this year, some stores are starting to discount them again. Current price near me is $223.

I totally missed the $109 deal, but I picked up one for $223 today at the Hudson Bridge Rd store in Stockbridge. Brickseek said they had 5, and now shows 4 after I bought one, but the one I bought was the last on the floor and the employee said he knew of none in backstock. So that store is out.

They may go for lower than $223, but I'm happy with paying that if I can't snag one lower or get them to price match. So far that one store was the only one in my area discounting them and others are still at $446. So if you have interest in buying one, start watching brickseek again and call before you drive over as what brickseek shows as inventory is not always accurate. Link to the brickseek page for the Copperhead 5 vertical pellet smoker.

Also some of the stores are showing the Austin XL 1000 for $124. They had them at the store I went to, but they were not discounted.

$125 just 26.6 miles away from me. These deals are rarely ever near me.

Just bought a new house, have too much stuff in the yard already, and in 2 weeks I'll be coming home with another OTG and 18" WSM ... but ... it's only $60
