Default New (to me and free) Blackstone

Last week I was at a buddy's house shooting the breeze and I mentioned I wanted a Blackstone but my wife was balking.

His face lit up and he told me he has one he doesn't use and it was mine for the taking. My wife agreed with "free". It needs some TLC and some reconditioning on the cook top, but I'm happy to have a free Blackstone.

Can't wait to get this cleaned up and cooking.

Looks like the 28" I never use. Random Orbit sander will make quick work out of it. Be aware of the grease coming from that drain on the right side. It'll make a mess.

That’s great! I failed at using the stone refinishing kit on mine.

I think there are a few 'hacks' out there to help with the drain issue. I don't use my griddle nearly enough, but it's definitely the most fun cooker I have.

I had one of those- that grease drain sucked- but it was fun as hell to cook on.

enjoy it!

Fine score. A little elbow grease and it's time to enjoy griddles goodness.

Very nice score. I have to replace my Fiskgriddle so I'm going with a 28" Flat Iron.
