I’m driving my son from Sacramento, CA to Indianapolis (he’s moving there) and then onto North Carolina.

We will be going 80 through Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska. Iowa, Indiana and more.
What’s close to 80 that we want to hit for road meals?

Only one I can think of off the top of my head would be Iowa Smokey D's in Des Moines. Haven't tried them, but they are a top comp team.

I'm not too familiar with that area. I've crisscrossed 80 a few times, and driven a few stretches. The only meal that really stood out is we tried White Castle somewhere in Indiana. I heard so many people reminisce about it, that I figured we should give it a go. We got a bunch of stuff because we heard how good it was. Almost all of it went into the trashbin and we lost our appetite for eating anywhere else. I really thought I was going to be sick. I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to lose weight. It definitely makes McDonald's look good.

LIES! LIES! LIES! You are not a fan of the original Slider?!?!? Just because they have some unpopular nicknames... Belly Bombers, Roach Burgers, Rectal Rockets, Ass Blasters... Love those things! As they say, Get 'em by the sack!

We did get them by the sack, a very big one at that, and threw them out by the sack, almost all except for a few bites. I actually hadn't heard of any of those names until after I tried them. Then a couple people had a knowing smirk on their faces.

What I don't get is how they stay in business and how there can possibly be so many of them. I can't believe they have repeat customers.
