Apparently you can dehydrate oranges lemons or limes and grind them up to make your own citrus salt.

I just recently dehydrated a load of limes that were on sale but going a bit funky. They ended up way sweeter than the original..

I'm confused, the link you had just uses zest. Do you just put citrus in a dehydrator and grind up the flesh?

Yes

Sorry I was concentrating on the salt/pepper part.
Dry until crispy then put in a spice grinder.

I just started dehydrating citrus so still learning.

I can see orange and pepper playing nicely with birds.

How was it?

I bet that would give a boneless chicken breast a little zing.

I found some of this at a local store. My bottle doesn't have the bright orange color, but it smells good. Thinking of using a mojo marinade on some boneless skinless thighs and then hitting them with the orange pepper before grilling them off. Probably try to make some tacos out of them. Thanks of the heads up
