i have a old country brazos coming my way this coming up friday.... that this grill be placed on my wooden back deck or is it too heavy? id hate to have to roll this thing out of my garage every time i want to cook. the deck doesnt have any special braces to accommodate to real heavy objects but its solid. the deck is approximate 3ft from the ground.

Assuming it’s a standard deck with standard joist spacing and construction, it should be fine. I
Have a 24x48 workhorse offset that will weight about 950lbs coming and plan to
Have it on my deck. Recommend a good mat under the firebox. I had some from Amazon and they were ok...ordered a fire mat from atbbq and it is much, much better

Might be a problem if you have your 400lb smoker and several of your 400lb friends on the deck at one time!

I second that on ttk's comment. Invite only skinny people to your bbq's. Problem solved! Safety first and more leftovers for you.

The other good news is that if you do decide it could stand to be a bit stiffer, that is a heck of a lot easier to achieve working at three feet than it is at sixty feet.

Tacking on some bracing or even adding a pier or two is no big deal for three feet . . . for sixty feet - Aye caramba!
