We are pretty much a Ribeye family, but I wanted a change of pace, so picked up some nicely marbled Choice Tenderloins from HEB last week. Seasoned with SPOG and a little of this weird Asian spice the wife uses (something like a dried beef broth spice).

Dusted some shrimp and cream cheese stuffed jalapenos with System7 Red (I need to order some more) and wrapped them with bacon.

Took a large baking potato, cut it into wedges and steamed them in the microwave for three minutes to par cook them. Seasoned with Olive Oil, SP and G.

Everything on the WSCG.

I planned to use the cast iron pan to do the potatoes, but that didn't seem to be heating up fast enough without putting it directly over the SnS, and I didn't want to be in and out so much if I was cooking them as direct. So, just grilled them too.

Shrimp and poppers were good too.

Potatoes? Not so much. Flaired up when I went direct, and were still a little under cooked in the middle.

Besides that, dinner was very good...

Thanks for looking...

All of that looks killer!

(Somehow I'm reminded of a comment my smart-ass brother made while we were eating bacon-wrapped shrimp in a Mexican restaurant: "Wow! They took something made out of bacon and shrimp and made it taste GOOD!" )

I know it must be tough to step down from ribeyes to filets but it looks like you rocked it quite well.

I just got a big load of fresh Gulf shrimp that would be perfect to wrap and grill. Thanks for the idea.

Cooked to perfection. I join the request for the marinade recipe.

This is the stuff I was talking about. I got in the habit of using it after she kept seasoning the steaks with it. They tasted good, so I used it too.
