Sitting in Lubbock watching my LSU Tigers play some ball, eating giant onion rings and a Wagyu burger, and waiting to get the new smoker tomorrow. Made the near 800 mile trip from Baton Rouge today in right at 12 hours.

Look forward to getting some Texas BBQ and picking up the new favorite family member (sorry kids) and making the trek back to Louisiana.

Lubbock has never been known as a mecca for Texas bbq, but Evie Mae's and The Shack are both very good spots. Don't bother with any other places during your visit.
 
Try the green chili & cheddar sausage. It's hands down my favorite sausage.
