somebody shut me the fark up.
With all the parents here this weekend, I took the opportunity to break out some marrow bones we had been saving in the freezer for just such an opportunity.
Here's the recipe I used (same as I've used before if you go searching for bone marrow on the forum).
The Vortex got the call with some Kingsford Professional (that's significantly better than the regular blue bag) and some mesquite lump from the Meximart. Small chunk of hickory on top for a little smoke.
Soaked the bones in a salt water bath with Real Salt that approached the salinity of the ocean by taste.
Naturiffic Q-Salt applied liberally.
About 15 minutes later, I brought them inside and "built" the crostini.
