Flip your butt or Don't flip your butt??

Quick question -

Do you recommend flipping your pork butt over 1 or more times while smoking? Or just lever it be till it's done?

ive read in a book or two that you should flip but to be honest, these days I try to keep the lid closed as much as possible. I don't baste, flip, turn or open the lid for any other reason unless I need to add more charcoal.
