And here is the recipe:
https://www.kawalingpinoy.com/filipino-pork-barbecue/

NOTE: I just looked through this recipe and it was not my original I started with. It is close to the measurements I actually use. My first recipe had One Two liter of 7up. This one is 3 cups, which is much closer to my 1 liter. And I use Jalepenos if I can't find Thai peppers. Instead up 2 cups oyster sauce, I think its like a 12 oz bottle and I dump it all in without measuring. Much too thick, you'd waste half in the measuring cup.

Good stuff.

If you search the interweb for Filipino Pork Barbecue, you'll get a bunch of similar hits.

Thanks all for the suggestions. Planning for a family reunion. Was going to cook brisket but decided I didn't want to stay up at night, so catering the BBQ.

My plan is to cook something so that fresh cooking aroma is wafting through the air during the party and give something to snack on.

Smoked cajun shrimp dip was my most recent big hit. It was one that I was specifically told 'you are making this again'

OP posted a really good question. Can I add to that question? What is your favorite easy appetizer to make? Some of the appetizers listed above are yummy, but also are somewhat labor-intensive. Looking for quick and easy appetizer suggestions that can be done in bulk.

Thanks in advance!

Bruce
