Cedar Plank Salmon

So here is the first of many salmon cooks from the trip. Simple cedar plank with garden grilled zucchini with olive oil and garlic salt (McCormicks). Wife made some seasoned white rice but, I added a lil soy to mine. Turned out great. Thanks for looking

You nailed the perfect doneness (in my eye) on that. If you like plank cooking and eventually want a change of pace from cedar, they do make other flavors. Hickory planks can be used several times and are not too strong for fish or shrimp. Alder planks are the opposite, very light flavor and they curl so easily I've been afraid that the fish will slide off.

PS - try cooking your lemon slices at the same time, the flavor is really good.

Thanks for the kind words all. Please do try, it's easy. Just soaked the plank for a couple hours or so. Next time it will be on the rec tec
