A little bit of a delayed post, but thought I would put up my Christmas cook. I thought it would be a grand idea to tackle a 26lb turkey...it was an experience.

I struggled to get the temps to settle, and almost had it go out twice. But in the end, the bird turned out great. No carved pics unfortunately, but here is one just after pulling it from the barrel.

So two weeks ago my escalade was totaled (I'm fine) and can't take it in the vette either so the PBJ is riding in a prius on her first official road trip.

I like the way you protect your baby....and the Hunsaker would never fit in a Prius!

You got it, Sportster. I’ll post as soon as I find time for the cook.

Gotta love San Diego! So many beers to choose from to have with BBQ. Go get some Victory at Sea from Ballast Point, great way to greet the new year.

Sako, that looks like heaven. Not sure how coke products ended up in your pic--it's usually a nice microbrew...

I've got 2 PBC experiments gettin loaded up right now:

1. gonna give the PBC skewers a test run with some simple ranch chicken kabobs. I'll post pics and impressions.

2. gonna try the GrillGrates on the PBC for a steak. I know it doesn't get hot enough but I'm going to try to get the PBC as hot as possible and see if I can get any kind of decent sear using them. Maybe a wast of a decent ribeye, but experimenting is fun. We'll see...
