This is an entry...

OK... I'll be first.

Few things make me happier than getting a new toy and cooking on it! I bought a PK360 grill from a Brethren member (www.smokindealbbq.com) on Saturday and I cooked some ribeyes for dinner!

I set the PK up for a two zone cook and put GrillGrates over the coals. It settled in at 300 pretty quickly.

I let it get up to 350 and I put on a couple of sweet potatoes on the indirect side.

Once the potatoes were done I opened up the vents and for the GrillGrates up to 600 degrees and put the steaks on. With the grates that hot it was a pretty quick cook.

While the steaks were resting I put on some asparagus...

All in all, I was very happy with the way the PK performed.

Burgers are one of my all time happy meals, especially cooked on a flat top for that crunchy exterior. Please use the last photo as my official entry.

Default spun up a bird

official entry.

hard to get happier than a chicken on the rotisserie...especially when it's on the SS performer I grabbed for free (yes, free...that's not a typo!) a few weeks back off craigslist.

simple seasoning of k salt, pepper, with a little smoked paprika and ancho chile powder. ran nice and hot (450+) for most of the cook. served up with some boxed GF stuffing, and some sauteed garlic scapes and carrots glazed with soy sauce and balsamic, with a dash of fresh chives from the yard.

getting started

almost there...

Might as well enter this for grins but wasn't cooking for a TD. So when I was @10 years the first thing I learned to grill were frozen 1/4lb patties from our local butcher. That summer I grilled 4 of these to make 2 double stacked burgers literally every day for lunch and luckily my mom kept buying them by the case:). When people at work bring around a sweet treat I say no thank you but if that was a cheeseburger I'd be all about it...still waiting for that day to arrive. Anyways, burgers make me happy, especially by the lb!

Please use this as my entry.
