I'm planning on doing a 24lb turkey this year and cooking it whole rather then spatchcocked. Trying to see if anyone can help me guesstimate my cook time so I can prepare. I'm planning on smoking around 275 and cranking up to 350ish towards the end to crisp up the skin.

Let me know what ya think!

I think when the deepest part or the breast is 160 and the deepest part of the thigh is 165ish, it's done. The rest is ambient.

Good Luck!

I'm doing 4 22lbs turkeys on Thursday, figuring about 20-25 min/lb at 275. Depending on wind, and outside temp. Did a 13lb on Saturday in 6hrs in the snow, had a hard time holding temp in the beginning of the cook.

I'm definitely about cooking to temp for turkey...just want to make sure I have enough time so it's on the table!
