Need <$1000 Smoker Recommendation
I am looking for a quality smoker for less than $1000. Preferably gas assist, Pellet smoker, or electric. Needs to be able to fit six 10lb pork butts at a time.

Depends on what you mean by quality. I dont recommend any gas or electric smokers...but thats personal preference.
Pellet you have a variety of mid quality smokers under 1K. Louisiana, Pit Boss, Green Mountain, Camp Chef to name a few. https://greenmountaingrills.com/prod...wifi-ss-prime/ https://www.costco.com/Louisiana-Gri...100459307.html https://amazingribs.com/smoker/camp-...-smoker-review https://amazingribs.com/smoker/traeg...-smoker-review |

I started with a smokinit 2. Good electric unit with good capacity at a reasonable price. Ppl look down on electric, but I've always enjoyed the food.

If you have used pellets before and like them and the flavor they put into the meat then I would also recommend going with Grilla Grills. They are pumping out some good equipment, at good prices, and they are constantly innovating. The Silverbac will do 6 pork butts pretty easily...here's a pic with 6 butts on the Silverbac to give you a true size perspective....this of course is with the top shelf which costs an extra $25 (but is well worth it).

Shoot thanks for all the feedback. I am not totally sold on the pellet method but It just seems so cost effective and efficient. I still love my LoneStar Grills Vertical insulated. Will be using it for years to come!!!

I second the Rec Tec Stampede. It's a great value for the money.

You'll get some good recommendations for a pellet cooker. I'm happy with my Rec-Tec.
If you aren't opposed to putting in just a little more work, you can get a Weber WSM or a drum and outfit it with an IQ120 for less than a $1000. While tight, I can get 6 butts on my UDS.
