My first test with converted freezer.
I have a commercial freezer that I am converting to a smoker. I have built a control box for it and that is controlling a electric element that I got from a electric bullet smoker I got on CL for $10. Built a cold smoke generator for smoke.

looks great from the out side, hope there's no plastic inside. ugly things get released as plastic melts and burns.the really old fridges were all metal inside and I have seen several of those over the years,a pie pan of charcoal and wood chips would run for a very long time they said

Neat idea, I'll be following this one to see how it works out. I have a pellet hopper assembly http://smokedaddyinc.com/products/pe...ssemblies.html that I was going to build a smoker with but this might be a better option.

Here is the controller I built for it. It keeps the temps close to +-1 degree.

I'm doing some jerky in it today with the evaporator fans back in it. Check it out below.
