This was Tonybel's winning entry in the 2018 Taco Throwdown



CATEGORY DESCRIPTION - PLEASE READ:



1. Cook your favorite south of the border/Mexican meals or dishes!

2. MULTIPLE ENTRIES ARE ALLOWED and encouraged for this Throwdown only!

3. Entries must conform to standard Throwdown rules




You may submit entries that are cooked from 4/30 through 6/1.

Entry pictures must be submitted by Tuesday, Noon Central US Time on 6/1.

Bill in Chicago got his wish as now we have a mayo Throwdown! :mrgreen:

I´m confused, that example doesn´t include any mayo.


I think Moose was referring to Mayo as

Cinco De Mayo

So yeah he is kind of right in a round about way it has Mayo in there.

No special planning needed for this one. :thumb: Cinco de Mayo is our anniversary. And even though we might break tradition and have lobster on Thanksgiving, or Moo Goo Gai Pan at Christmas... we always have Mexican food for Cinco de Mayo.

For starters, I'm thinking nachos with bean dip and cheese whiz.... :hungry:
 
I realized I never posted up my Cinco de Mayo cook, so I'll just do it here.

Boneless skinless chicken thighs marinated in an Alburkirky Green Chile and oil mix, cooked on the flat top, then thinly sliced and served on corn tortillas with onion, cilantro, and a green salsa. Also featuring Corralejo Reposado tequila to help wash it down.
