Creating a list of rubs I want for Christmas and I am wondering if any of the AP Rubs (mainly the Killer Hogs AP Rub) taste different from s,p, & garlic powder I would have at the house?
Anyone tried any of the AP Rubs?

Many AP rubs are not an SPG rub. They have other items.
That said, Boar's Night Out White Lightning is incredible, as is the Double Garlic Butter version.

Killer Hogs Ap is great.
I have Sucklebuster's SPG and Killer Hogs AP. Both are good but the AP has an even better flavor. I know it contains parsley but also other "spices". Buy some, it's very good.

I do like the AP rub from Killer Hogs. Recently got the SPG rub from Kosmos and I like it because it has more of a coarse texture.

Killer Hogs is my current favorite AP Rub. Take a look at the ingredient statements, MSG is prominent on many and that makes a difference vs. what people typically do at home. My #2 is Butcher BBQ Grilling Addiction which has either Lemon Zest or a hint or Citrus inside that I like quite a bit.
I like to use these AP rubs as a base, then layer 16 mesh black pepper and course Kosher salt on top.
