Everyone was itching to see the balls. It’s not cool to pull out your meat and dangle the recipe in front of us like that. That said, it’s ok to deviate from Moms recipe and enlarge the balls slightly for visual effect.

Kind of fun working thru the recipe book of my childhood
Mom was a good cook. We didn't bbq or smoke. Grill -Fried-Boiled was the norm. Liver I remember liver and onions. We ate a lot of onions. Those pretty onions from the garden or my Uncles garden that were about the size of a plum with long green stems. Okra- Squash home made every type pickle, pickled onions.
 
YES! We call em Spring onions.They go great with everything! I have a raised bed full of them planted now! Tatoes too. :thumb:
 
A friend of mine shared a similar recipe with me , but with beef, and those were great. I am betting with sausage they would be even better!!
Them looks fine!
 
We used to use breakfast sausage and serve them with maple syrup. YUM
 
For some reason I thought your balls would be a lot bigger, nevertheless they look great.
