cause it fit perfectly in my drum bbq for a grate?

I believe they are chrome plated. Call the manufacturers toll free #.

If chrome plated you may use them in your UDS, some grill companies use chrome-plated grates.

it looks to be chrome-plated i called frigidaire ...........and they said 2-3 days before they know the answer..OKAYYYYYY
keep in mind its going to be for direct grilling as seen in my other post.

galvelnized metal has a coating that when heated gives off a gas that will make you sick, headache, etc., I am not sure about BBQ temps but it does when cut or welded. It also is a poor metal to make things out off because it does not hold welds good because of the contamination from the coating, it was designed to prevent rust for specific applications, power towers, radio towers, etc.

This was done indirect but I've cooked maybe 2-3 times with direct heat on the TG...I'm still alive...so...
