Used this throwdown as an excuse to buy some new skewers

Bought some flap meat recently. Sako gave me the idea to make some kabobs. How convenient that a skewered throwdown is going on.

Please use this as my entry photo.

Well the flu made its way through our house and I was down and out for the better part of a week. Been feeling closer to normal over the weekend and took the opportunity with the weather in the 60’s today to throw together a cook for this TD at the last minute. I haven’t had much of an appetite lately but this tasted pretty good.

Oakridge BBQ Smokey Chile Lime gulf shrimp, cubed ribeye with Oakridge Santa Maria, and some wangz with salt, pepper, and garlic powder...was going to sauce them but ended up not.

Please use this for my TD submission:

I made some jalapeno cheddar meatballs for the super bowl. I wrapped them with bacon and skewered them. I smoked them on the ugly drum. Then I crumbled some queso fresco on top.
