Default Smoked Wings in WSM Question

Hey y'all- I'm stuffing the WSM this weekend. I'm hoping to get 6 racks of baby backs (via a rib rack) on the top rack of my WSM, while smoking wings on the bottom rack. I'd like to do about 45-50 wings, so my question is can I smoke them in a deep foil baking dish where they are stacked on top of each other? I've only ever done them single stacked and am worried if they are piled on each other if they will cook evenly.

Thanks for any tips!!

I wouldn't stack them, personally, as the ones on the bottom row will effectively end up as steamed wings

When I do wings in the WSM it's direct on the grate, not stacked, foiled water pan with no water.
I think if you pile them up in a pan you won't get much smoke on the ones toward the bottom, and they'll be steamed like Dave said.

I'm guessing you have a 22.5 WSM, if you have an additional grate you can use and a bakers cooling rack, you can put 1 layer of wings on the first grate and set the second grate on top of the cooling rack, I've used this method a few times and it works pretty good, should be able to do 45 wings pretty easy.

Yeah, take a look here for several ideas on adding another temp rack to give you more cooking space.
