Sunday dinner
Well I fired up the Brinkman yesterday and pulled out a 4 pack of chicken leg quarters. I rubbed them with cajun rub and injected them with a mixture of brown sugar, apple juice and molasses. I cooked them over kingsford with some apple chunks in the very beginning to seal it in. Came out great very juicy couldnt believe how juicy actually, and tasted great. Dint take pics this time figured you were getting sick of them. Only problem was I cooked them till the thermo. said 165 but when I cut in to the first one it was not done so I finished them in the oven. Any good thermo reccomendations ?

Thermapen. Whenever any of your probe thermo's thinks things are done, check it with the Thermapen.

Double check your current thermo to make sure it's accurate. After that, I agree with Chris - Thermapens are great.

Since I bought a Thermapen a few years ago, I've used it almost every day, in almost everything I cook. Well worth the investment.....and they're on sale ($17 off) until the end of Jan.
