uds smoker
I built the smoker to all the spec the 3/4 in tudes are at 1 " center i made my basket its 4 off the bottom. I can get the heat up to and over 300 with all the ports open. I have a weber top with vent holes when I start closing ports the temp starts dropping then I can never get it back to temp 250. wHat any i doing wrong

You went and built it to dang air tight so open all vents intake and exhaust and leave the lid ajar until the heat goes back to what you want then start slowly adjusting vents except the exhaust. Make sure the ash is not blocking the intakes. One last thing grab the lid firmly and give the barrel a good shake and watch to see if the temp starts to rise, I would do that before anything else.
