Comps with no utilities
I will be entering some competitions for the first time this year. My first one will have no electric or running water at the sites. Electric is no issue as I have a Honda 2000i generator but how do you best deal with not having a hose connection at your site?

A 5 gallon Igloo water cooler works well. Also use Clorox Cleaning wipes for some stuff.

I hope your entry fee isn't over $100.

I have never been to a comp that had running water at your site, always have had to tote water, a small wagon works great!!

I have only done one contest where water was on site. Otherwise I have always had to haul water. Already in trailer, or with a wagon and containers, or at Sams club hauling containers back and forth in shopping carts.

We use a camping water tote that has a plastic turn valve (stays running). This makes hand washing much easier and will meet the requirements for some heath departments that won't accept the spring loaded valves.

I always have my own water. BUT -- Look at what you're using water for! Disposable cutting boards, pan liners, foil pans, different knives and utensils for each task all limit the need for washing stuff. Clorox wipes are a big help. Prepping meat before the contest cuts down on washables. I always take my dirty stuff home to wash in the dishwasher too.

We have a 10 gal water container that we haul from the water source back to the site with a hand truck. Then we have an Aqua Cube to heat and pump the water out the spigot. Coleman also has a Hot Water on Demand.

I bought a cheap fish cleaning table for $90....hooks right up to a hose. If no water on site I bring it like listed above an bought I re-chargeable water pump for pretty cheap...hooks right up to the table hose then...lasts for about 20-30 minutes of use without recharging.

If the comp you are talking about is Staten Island, bring either an Igloo like Rub said, or just some buckets to haul water back to your site. This is the only comp I do without power or water to the site.

I bought a submersible battery powered bilge pump to use with a large cooler at Sam's events to transfer the water to our fresh water tank on our comp trailer.
