Default Smoking Pork with Persimmon Wood

I posted last year about smoking with some persimmon wood. Would like to smoke some port chops. I have some small pieces of persimmon (sticks and such, could fill a basket) that I could use. How would this wood do? Yes, it is dry, not green.

There is a guy with a youtube channel called SwineLife BBQ. He did a video smoking pork steaks with persimmon chunks on a drum. Sounds like he got good results.

Mark at SwineLife is working with Malcolm Reed's new retail biz. He cooks a lot so I trust him.
